Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Renault Trucks UK’s Nigel Butler says that if the belief that Euro-6 products are more expensive proves to be true and the market falls in 2014, then it is fair to assume demand for used vehicles will be buoyant and supplies limited. “We expect demand for late used vehicles to be strong in the coming two to three years,” he says. “It looks as if used truck dealers at least are in for a good 2014.” What the longer-term effect of supply and demand will mean for residual values remains unclear. Isuzu Truck’s Keith Child says: “Once Euro-6 comes into force, the gap between the price they’ll get for their older vehicle and the price of a Euro-6 vehicle will get wider. We believe good used Euro-5 products will achieve healthy residual values throughout 2013 and most of 2014.” Tim Ward, of Northside Truck and Van, takes the view that used prices will not rise swiftly in 2013. “However, there is little doubt that Euro-5 used vehicles will be at a premium in 2014 and perhaps 2015,” he says.
