HAVING JUST OPENED this week’s magazine (CM 5 July), the irst thing I read is about banning trucks on Sundays.
It’s about time this happened in the UK. This motion has been in place on the Continent for years and doesn’t affect them in any way.
With the rates truck drivers are paid, we should be having 45 hours off every week.
So I say ban trucks on UK roads from 10pm Friday till 10pm Sunday every week, and we may get more respect from the general public and employers.
