Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

RUNNING on a flat tyre, particularly the inner cover on a twin wheel, has caused many a commercial-vehicle fire, yet Dunlop has sent a Chevrolet Chevette 3200 miles across America on a fully deflated Denovo tyre.

The equipment should have an even greater appeal to lorry and bus operators than to private motorists. For one thing, the extra cost should represent a much smaller proportion of the price of a £40,000 commercial vehicle than of a £9000 car.

Then there is the problem of changing a heavy wheel singlehanded, even if a spare is carried. If it is not, operators hardly need to be reminded of the salutary cost of a call-out to a tyre failure on a motorway.
