• Leonard S. Payne. 42., is to sic coed C. N. Christensen as managing director of British Road Services Ltd.. the 'Transport Holding Company an .nounced this week. Mr. Payne, at present assistant managing director, will tak:: over at the end of the year when Mr. Christensen, who is also chairman of B RS Contract Ltd.. retires.
Mr. Payne joined SOS as financial director in 19,54 having orevroi:sly ben deputy group controller of the Morgan Crucible Co. '—ist year he was one of a high-level goods transport study tearn, headed by Sir Reginald Wilson, which visited the USA.
