Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE National Coal Board has been experimenting in Scotland with bulk delivery, using a Commer 7-tonner with Dunn-Spencer Bulk fib bodywork and delivery system.

Discharge is by blower, and the chain drives to the blowing unit and to the hydraulic pump powering the body lifting gear have been replaced by PowerGrip belts made by the North British Rubber Co. Ltd. For the blower drive a toothed 0.5 in. belt in neoprene 4 ft. 6 in. in circumference and 3 in. wide is used, whilst for the hydraulic pump drive a 0.5 in. belt of 2 ft. 6 in. circumference and 1.5 in. wide is used. Longer working life is said to have resulted from this change of drive.

A special 4-in, diameter delivery hose has also been developed by North British. This has wire embedded in it to eliminate kinking and both internal and external surfaces are abrasion resistant. Supplied in 8-ft. lengths. the hose can be coupled to meet hunkering requirements for distances up to IGO ft. horizontally or 25 ft. vertically.
