Michelin Branch at Colchester: A new Michelin branch office and depot with service facilities opened in Colchester on Monday (Tel.: Colchester 78451/2/3). The premises are sited in Goshecks Road and will serve the northern half of Essex and most of Suffolk. Mr. R. A. Brighty, district sales manager, is based at the offices and the branch manager is Mr. D. Sullivan.
Chile Lifts Import Ban: The Chilean Government has lifted a ban imposed last year on the import of motor-bus chassis. Bodies for such chassis imported in future will be . built in Chile, probably under the direction of an expert from the chassis supplier.
Motoeart Agents: New area distributors for the Motocart three-wheeler all-purpose transporter are: Leagate Filling Station, Blackpool Road, Lea, Preston, Lanes; Lenfleld Engineering Ltd. of Ashford ; Keighley (Engineering) Ltd., 28 Clyde Street, Bingley, Yorks; F. L. Douglas (Equipment) Ltd., Village Road, Arle Road. Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Rutland Farm Services Ltd., Northgate, Oakharn, Rutland, have been appointed main dealers for the Motoc-art range of transporters.
Mercedes-Benz Output Up: Daimler-Benz AG, of Stuttgart, produced 58,995 MercedesBenz commercial vehicles last year, compared with the 1961 output of 57,074 units. At June 30, this year, orders for goods vehicles were higher by 12 per cent than at the end of last year.
