engine and sixspeed constant-mesh gearbox with overdrive on top, permitting speeds of over 60 m.p.h., are features of an improved version of the A.E.C. Ranger high-ground-clearance passenger chassis now available to South African operators. Direct air-pressure brakes are fitted and the standard wheelbase is 18 ft.
A special 22-ft.-wheelbase version is also now available in South Africa. This chassis is designed to take a 36-ft. body. 1323
