under the title of United 'Carriers Ltd. They are Frank Willis and Sons (Carriers) and K. and D. Transport and the group will comprise, in all, 11 companies concerned in transport operation and supply. A daily parcels service is maintained in Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and the Leeds and Bradford areas, whilst trunk services are operated between Bristol, London and Aberdeen.
Arrangements are being made to obtain a London quotation for the £120,000 oneclass capital of United Carriers. The directors forecast pre-tax profits of not less than £100,000 in the current year compared with £77,555 in 1962/63, whilst dividends totalling 31 per cent are envisaged.
Despite the name, this new company has no connection with the former United Carriers Ltd., which ceased operations on April 30, 1960, and was concerned in meat haulage.
