nery have been acquired by Transport Vehicles (Warrington) Ltd., who hold the world manufacturing and selling rights of the Sentinel road vehicle division of Sentinel (Shrewsbury), Ltd. Production will start in about six weeks.

Mr. T. N. H. Ward, managing director, said the prototype of a new vehicle had been tested and had proved satisfactory. New models, based on the results obtained, were to be designed for both home and overseas markets.

With the purchase of Winwick Street Tannery, Transport Vehicles (Warrington), Ltd., have shelved plans to build a new factory at Woolston.

ROTINOFF WITH ROLLS-ROYCE 335 B.H.P. OIL ENGINE

THE Rotinoff range of heavy-duty vehicles now includes the Super Atlantic for train loads of up to 200 tons, and the Viscount heavy-duty lorry. The Rolls-Royce Model C8SFL supercharged eight-cylindered four-stroke oil engine used in the Super Atlantic gives 335 b.h.p. at 2,100 r.p.m. with a torque of 950 lb.-ft. at 1,300 r.p.m.

The Viscount, which is a smaller version of the Rotinoff Atlantic, also has a Rolls-Royce oil engine, this being the Model C6SFL developing 250 b.h.p. at 2,100 r.p.m. with torque of 710 lb.-ft. at 1,300 r.p.m.

Both these vehicles were demonstrated on Wednesday.

BRITISH BUSES REPLACE COPENHAGEN TRAMS

ANOTHER of Copenhagen's tram services, running through one of the city's main arteries, is to be replaced by buses. Eleven Leyland Worldrnaster buses with 125 h.p. oil engines and semiautomatic gearboxes have been ordered.

Approximately 100 buses of a similar type have been delivered by Leyland to Copenhagen.

The new buses are to be the one-manoperated type with bodies built by Dansk Automobil Bygerri A/S They will seat 33 passengers and have standing room for a further 40 passengers.
