Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

y spies tell me that doughty battler on behalf of suppressed road hauliers, legal eagle Jonathan Lawton, is fast approaching his 60th birthday. The day is 18 February. While none of us are spared the ravages of old father time it's somewhat galling to come across people who are clearly growing older—but don't seem to show it. While your feathered correspondent is a mere 21—hut sadly looks like an old crow—Lawton appears to be no more than 50.

Could there be a painting hidden somewhere in the attic ?

Be tells me it's all down to not worrying about time: "Oh get to court on time and all that—but I just don't seem to consider it the way that others do," he tells me.

Plenty of CMreaders will, however, have reason to he glad that Lawton made it to the court on time to defend them against unfair charges. He remains a robust advocate and one who can always supply CMvvith a relevant and lively quote. My all-time favourite is his call for the "then" present authorities to he "whipped, beaten and bludgeoned". Move over Rumpole.
