Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

T would like to add my lcomments on the new Euro tax for motorways (CM12.18 January). This is what we are paying for:

Denmark—their motorways are too short to pass comment on—as are Luxembourg's.

Netherlands—here you are subjected to a ride which resembles a rollercoaster. Do not attempt to make any progress during peak periods or if your tilt sheet should fill with wind and rise above 4 metres.

Belgium—here you are paying for roads on which it would be more apt to run Le Shuttle, once you get in the groove, you have to run with it and when wet, through many inches of water until you find a new patch of road where, if quick, you might be able to leave the tram lines, Germany—unless you like to travel in darkness, you must follow the slowest vehicles in Europe and beyond, overtake at your peril (and 105DM).

I, like many others, spend only a couple of days a month in Britain and subsidise others who use our roads more than I do. Surely the time has come for a European transport policy where we can all compete on an equal footing.
