Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

KENT-MOORE UK has

introduced two portable, hand

held testers for examining the light circuits of tractive units and trailers independently.

The KM 4052 Tractor Unit tester has a heavy-duty commercial seven-pin socket mounted on the display tester to represent the lights of a trailer. It is connected to the tractive unit under test and the colour coded lights of the tester are co-ordinated with the vehicle's tail/stop lights, left/right indicators (hazard warning lights) and free circuit. It gives a clear indication that the wiring circuit to the trailer connection is in working order without the need to couple up a trailer.

The unit is suitable for use on 12 and 24V systems. An adaptor lead is available for 12 N sockets to test also standard car trailer/caravan sockets.

The KM 4053 Trailer tester is a rechargeable, portable base unit also connected to a heavyduty commercial, seven-pin plug. When it is connected to the trailer under test, the trailer's lights can be operated with a rotary switch.

Like the tractive unit light tester, the KM4053 Trailer Tester operates on 12 and 24V systems. It comes complete with a 12 N socket and mains charging lead.
