Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Keywords : Leyland

I HAVE been forced to take strong measures this week to stop colleague Ron Cater from pilfering. Not that he has suddenly developed such tendencies but simply because a book which has arrived on my desk contains a magnificent coloured drawing of "Chivers". For those who don't follow the oldies, let me explain that Chivers is the 1919 Leyland RAF-type van which is a regular entrant in the HCVC run to Brighton. It has been piloted on recent occasions by Ron, who has therefore developed a passion for this lovely old jam wagon. The Leyland is only one of 10 wonderful drawings, with accompanying histories, which appear in Early Commercial Vehicles by David J. Trussler, just published by Hugh Evelyn Ltd., 9 Fitzroy Square, London, NW1 at 70s.

On pages measuring 184-in, by 134-in., Mr. Trussler, who is an architect with a passion for early transport depicts such classics as the 1868 horsedrawn delivery van still used today by Rothmans of Pall Mall, an 1898 Daimler motor truck, a Model T and the 1914 Dennis fire engine.

Even if Ron persists, I shan't weaken enough to let him have the book, because he can get individual prints of all the drawings from the publishers for 8s anyway; and so can you.
