Brighton Corporation Parks Committee has recommended the purchase of one Nimbus 15 cwt. gravity tip track at an estimated cost of £370, one three-wheeled motorized Bonser truck at £234, one Parker Estate Master sweeper at £200: one tree mover at £300 and two Austin i•ton pick-up trucks at £1,040.
Bewley Regis Corporation has accepted the tender of the Station Garage Co., Ltd., of Dudley, for the supply of two Austin A55 10-cwt. vans at a price of £561 each, less an allowance of f65 each for two vans in part exchange.
Brumley Corporation is recommended to accept the £1,802 tender of ICI. Motors, Ltd., of Bromley, for a Simon L.25 platform mounted on a Land-Rover chassis.
Ayr corporation Cleansing Committee is recommended to approve the purchase of a Shelvoke and Drewry 16/18-cu.-yd. fore-and-aft tipper vehicle fitted with a power Preys at £3,080, to include diesel engine, double cab and salvage rack, and a Dennis
10-cu.-yd. side-loader vehicle fitted with diesel engine, double cab and salvage rack, at a cost of £2,118.
Islington Borough Council Cleansing Committee recommends acceptance of a quotation of Dennis Bros., Ltd., of Guildford, for the supply of a Dennis Paxit Major III continuous-loading refuse collection vehicle (1963 model) with extra wide hopper, at £4,125, for delivery within 14 months. Also the quotation of Shelvoke and Drewry, Ltd., of 13eichworth, for the supply of one Shelvoke and Drewry TY type Freighter with 50-cu.-yd. Pakamatic automatic loading refuse collection body for £4,472.
