Henry Spurrier, chairman of Leyland Motors, Ltd., revealed that the company is to introduce a completely re-designed range of light commercial vans and trucks, both petrol and diesel. He categorically denied, however, that his company intends to replace Standard-Triumph's chief line of car manufacture by different products. He is optimistic for S.T.I.'s future but declares that "in any circumstances it will not be allowed to affect adversely the parent organization."
