Mr. W. A. Heymann, managing director of Huyton's and J. and H. Transport, said that he did not .see the need to contact the Licensing Authority after. the Turners Asbestos traffic had been taken away from them and the vehicles operated under a general user. "If I go to the Manchester office and ask for a normal user of what the vehicles are authorized to do and I am given a piece of paper with it on, I stick to it," he added.

Both Mr. Heymann and a co-director, Mr. H. A. Jeune, J. and H.'s Liverpool depot manager, admitted in evidence that, at the time of the Huyton takeover they were very ignorant" about licensing..,_ The application, which is expected to last another full day, was adjourned to a date in early March.
