Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

MAN SUI-1±,RED the highest number of HGV recall campaigns for the second half of 2008, involving 5,083 trucks within seven seperate campaigns, according to VOSA's latest Recalls Bulletin.

Of that number, 3298 were attributed to a potential problem with the EBS, which may not operate correctly under braking.lt was reported that the fault could affect service brake operation, initiating more braking on one side than the other and leading to the possibility of the vehicle veering off course.

There were also 192 MANs recalled due to a risk of fire developing from possible positive cable chafing between the battery and the starter. This can be solved by rerouting the cable.

Renault had the largest number of vehicles returned with a massive 26,355 Trafies involved in a single campaign due to possible breakage on the handbrake intermediate connector, potentially leading to handbrake failure.

A total of 35,927 CVs were involved in 26 campaigns for the period.

Elsewhere, Volvo recalled 2,201 FM and FH trucks, with 1,988 returning due to a problem with the hydraulic servo pipe, which may come loose from its connection and leak, leading to a loss of power steering assistance.

There were a total of 1,074 recalls for Isuzu Trucks, with 443 NQR75s returned due to a possible diesel fuel leak from the link pipe at the upper or lower points of the fuel supply pump, while a mix of 631 NPRs and NORs were brought back due to harsh downshifting from the gearbox when in auto shift mode.

Scania had a mix of 62 G, P and R Series recalled — 55 had their electronic brake system module replaced, while seven had their U bolts checked for the correct torque as they may not have been tightened sufficiently.
