Failure costs

UFD buy

United Freight Distribution (UFD) has acquired Hemel Hempstead-based Transport Delivery Services for an undisclosed sum. Kirkcaldybased UFD will take on 45 staff at its new 6,500m2 premises.

Ferry dispute

Irish Ferries is suspending two services between Wales and Ireland because of an industrial dispute. Routes between Holyhead to Dublin and Pembroke Dock to Rosslare are being affected. The superferry between Holyhead and Dublin will continue to operate.
