Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Bryan Jarvis

• Volvo Truck is to supply the Royal Engineers with 121 self-loading 6x6 dump trucks based on its heavyduty FL12 tipper.

Deliveries are due to start in October and finish in May 1999.

The order, which follows competitive tendering, is worth a total of around 1:13m, including service support and training packages.

The 4.3mwheelbase 6x6 is powered by Volvo's 340hp (253kW) D12A turbo-diesel.

With an 8.0tonne front axle and a 20-tonne rear bogie it can carry six NATO pallets up to 12.8 tonnes or general cargo into frontline construction areas.

It was designed at Volvo's Irvine, Scotland plant: Edbro designed the body system, which it will build and fit alongside the Hiah/Kinshofer hydraulic loading equipment.

Sales director David Smith says "It's the first major order that Volvo has won from the MoD and is a real boost for the Irvine workforce."
