hi re specialist Cornpactors Engineering 0 with 15 Foden 3340 6x4 rigids fitted with permanently mounted spreader bodies: the first to be delivered under Econ's new contract maintenance scheme. 1 Eight of them will work for Scots contractor Barr on the 120km M6/A74(M) Carlisle to Millbank project. They have on-board weighers fitted in accordance with Scottish Office requirements for spreader trucks.

The other seven will be used on the Al 9 between Yorkshire and the Tyne tunnel: during the summer they will carry traffic management equipment on rolling road repair work.
