Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Transport Ferry Service has expressed its concern at the increasing difficulty of identifying trailers, containers and flats used by British hauliers on Continental work. This is because many units have inadequate markings—some none at all. Others, whilst they may be numbered, are without any prefix or with a common lettering such as " T ". It is stressed by the T.F:S. that confusion and delays are much more likely in these circumstances and it is therefoi seeking the co-operation of international hauliers in arranging for all units to be clearly and easily identified, preferably by the use of a distinctive prefix associatcl with the owning company.
