Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

pIPELINE delivery of aviation fuel to London Airport is to start next month, when two 6-in.-diameter pipes will supply about 30,000 gallons an hour. This will supersede delivery by an aVerage of 40 tankers per day.

The fuel will be pumped from storage tanks at Walton, nine miles from the air At peak periods during the summer, --60 tankers a day wereused to bring the file! from Purfieet and Shell Haven, on the Thames estuary. The new piplines will rule out the possibility of deliveries being delayed by congested roads or bad weather.

The tankers are not yet entirely out of work—they will be required to deliver the fuel from the estuary to Walton. But, later in the year, it is planned to pipe supplies to Walton from the Kent refinery, near the mouth of the Thames.

OFFICERS for the coming year have been announced by two sub-areas Of the Road Haulage Association: At Oxford the chairman is Mr. G. J. Wilsdon (J. Curtis and Sons, Ltd.); vicechairman, Mr. J. Brouard (Amey's Transport (Oxford), Ltd.), and honorary secretary. Mr. P. B. Morse (G. Cannon and Sons).

At Bletchley the chairman is Mr. A. J. Forster (Loudon Road Garage) and the vice-chairman Mr. E. H. Littledale (Bramwell's Haulage, Ltd.),
