Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

an hgv licence for vehicles not exceeding 10 tons gross when the EEC draring regulations come into effect next year. However, I have been offered a job driving a vehicle on a shuttle service to Paris, and 1 am wondering whether I will be entitled to drive vehicles over 7.5 tonnes on the Continent despite being under 21 years.

I will, of course, be driving on the Continent before it becomes possible to get the British hgv licence. Could you clarify this matter for me?

A There seems to be some

doubt about British drivers taking vehicles over 7.5 tonnes into Europe before they are 21.

We have been told by the Department of the Environment that unless a driver under 21 has been registered in the new young drivers' training scheme, recently announced, he would be unable legally to drive vehicles of this size outside the United Kingdom.
