EXCLUDING cars and motorcycles, .1—i 18,927 new vehicles were registered in September, compared with 15,797 in August. Details• appear in the accompanying table. •At the end of August,
1,205,900 licences were current for goods vehicles and 94,700 for hackneys (including trams), compared with 1,164,500 and 97,700 respectively a year earlier, according to Ministry of Transport figures.
