MR. CECIL W. ROOD, chairman of T. Wall and Sons, Ltd., has been appointed a member of the Western Area Board of the British Transport Commission. He succeeds the HON. ANTHONY G. BERRY, who retires next Wednesday because he is unable to devote enough time to the board.
