Where to Buy your Supplies.

Interesting and New Supplies from Factory and Showroom.

Agrimotor Oil.

Some few months ago, Silvertown Lubricants, Ltd., marketed a new brand of oil intended for the special use of agrimotors. We are pleased to record that a satisfactory amount of business has been done with this " Agrimotor " oil, and users of these machines would do well to give this supply a trial.

Early Seasonable Greetings.

The Polack Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., has sent us, as before, a large-sized leather-bound engagement tablet and blotting pad, with the usual seasonable greetings. From R.. W. Coan we have received a large-sized perpetual almanac, which is very suitable for standing on the desk. Robert Park and Co., Ltd., has forwarded a copy of its tear-off calendar for 1913. This contains the company's usual varied and interesting information, having regard to freights and import duties, foreign money values, car taxes, weights, shipping dimensions, etc.

A Useful Gear Cutter.

We illustrate herewith a well-known gear-cutter made by David Brown and Sons (Huddersfield), Ltd. Many of the largest chassis manufacturers in this country use several of these machines in their shops. It need hardly be said that the small maker of wheels could not afford to lay down a tool of this size, which requires to he kept fully occupied if it is to show a return on initial capital outlay. Several smaller machines, however, are made by Brown and Sons, Ltd., which company is pleased to quote for suitable machines for all kinds of gear-cutting work, it will he seen that the gear-cutter in question is massively yet simply constructed, and is capable of dealing with a large range of work, Bosch Magneto Co., Ltd.

The line drawings reproduced herewith show little of the detail arrangements of the new Bosch forced feed lubricator. We described this device

fully in our issue of the 7th March last. A special type of the appliance is made for use on tractors arid agrimotors. The general arrangement consists of a number of plunger pumps, ranging from four to eight in number, which are situated circumferentially round a canted wheel which drives each of the plungers in turn. Either all or any required number of the pumps can be put in and out of action as may be desired. The feed supply can also be increased or decreased within a. considerable range.

Making an Efficient Bearing.

Birkett and Robinson, the well-known founders, whose works are located at Cleckheaton, Yorkshire, inform us that their plant for the production of phosphor-bronze bearings arid hushes for use on heavy commercial vehicles has recently been considerably extended. We are also told that a most-elaborate system of working to gauges has been introduced into the shops, and the extreme accuracy of all bearings and other work turned out is now guaranteed to a very fine limit. The Newall system of gauging is employed for standard workshop use, hut any special sizes will be worked to on the request of customers. Some of the largest vehicle makers in the country obtain the. whole of their bearings and brasses from these makers, who are prepared to make arrangements to give early delivery of work, when so requested.
