Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

POLICE ARE HUNTING for a hit-and-run truck driver who collided with a stationary van on the M25 and drove off leaving a workman dead.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 18 August at about 3.40am between the A10 junction and the Holmesdale tunnel.

The truck is believed to have ploughed through a coned-off contrailow before the trailer struck a parked van. The van was pushed into a maintenance worker who was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck failed to stop and drove on along the eastbound M25 towards Waltham Abbey. It is described as an artic with a light coloured trailer which had dark writing on the side.

A Metropolitan police spokeswoman says: "We are appealing for the driver to come forward—he may not realise the seriousness of the incident. We would also like to hear from any witnesses."
