You wouldn't have thought it was possible for something so mechanical to look so smug. Well this Nissan Pickup King Cab has managed to, and no wonder, for it has just landed a plum role in the glamfest TV programme Baywatch. The vehicle will feature in the new millennium series that begins shooting in September. However, these trucks are not just pretty ornaments parading across our TV screens every week; the King Cabs are part of 60 Nissan vehicles used by lifesavers from the real LA County Lifeguard Division. Steve Moseley, captain of community services for the Los Angeles County Lifeguards, has this to say about the Nissan vehicles it uses: "They have consistently withstood the pounding sun, sand and wind. They're the best built bodies on the beach." I think a certain Miss P Anderson might want to take issue with him there!
