Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FORD HAS ADDED a 200hp engine option to the Transit range in a bid to offer improved journey times to long-haul customers and high speeds to the emergency services.

The engine, which will be available in all Transit rear-wheel-drive applications, is a five-cylinder derivative of the current four-pot offering. The 3.2-litre engine is built in Turkey; with the higher power rating comes a torque output of 470Nm.

To accommodate the engine the 200hp Transits are equipped with a new grille and bumper: a six-speed transmission is fitted, and there also some changes to the suspension to suit the extra power and torque. The engine benefits from Ford's 50 ,000km/twoyear service intervals.

One obvious application for the new power unit is the latest top-rated Transit, now available with a GVW up from 4.25 tonnes to 4.6 tonnes. Both axles have been strengthened for this application to a capacity of 1,850kg at the front and 3,300kg at the rear. Other modifications to suit the higher weights include larger rear brake callipers, uprated rear springs and revised front and rear damper settings.
