Fip-Ex07, the UK's only show dedicated exclusively to the tipping and bulk transport sectors, promises plenty of new products and

services alongside established favourites.

Harsh will be using Tip-Ex07 to launch its celebrations of 20 successful years in the UK. "We will be showcasing just how me have developed over the years," says MD :art Hinds. "In 1987 we started out selling ;tabilised underfloor tipping gears, whereas low we have a complete portfolio from tipping ;ears to waste and recycling handling products, ;heeting systems and cranes."

Transport industry equipment supplier Aero gill showcase its new steel Easy Cover 500G i.ont-toback sheeting system, which complenents the company's Easy Pull manual system.

Two additions to the Air-Weigh Inc range will /lake their debuts at Tip-Ex. The 5851 is a truck ;cale for operators using dedicated trailers; all :he necessary electronics and software are rtstalled in the truck cab. The 5819 is the latest version of tipping trailer payload scales that mork without loadcells.

Lightweight wheel specialist Alcoa will be ;hawing the WorkHorse, which is made without ventilation holes to protect the disc brakes from ;and and gravel. Its maximum load capacity is up 5% on existing models.

Autolegs are said to make manual winding of anding legs a thing of the past. This pneumatic ;ystem feeds off the truck's airline to move the egs up or down,avoiding damage and accidents mused by driver error. Autolegs were designed )v veteran logistics manager David Fullwood md are manufactured by CHK.

Bulk aluminium vehicle manufacturer 3enalu will be showing the Siderale, a smooth;ide d aluminium semi-trailer that joins the firm's public works line-up. Volumes range from 22-33m3.

Eclipse Automotive Technology'sTestpad is a compact, portable, multi-brand diagnostic tool for CVs featuring a wireless Bluetooth connection with a 100m range.

Fruehauf's exhibits will reflect a mix of tradition and innovation. Alongside its established bathtub tipping trailer will be a 65yd3 sloping smoothsider and a 42yd3 insulated bathtub model for the construction market. The range has been extended to cater for rigids,with an aluminium body mounted on a Daf chassis, which was first seen in 2006. Debuting atTip-Ex will be a steel body mounted on an MAN chassis.

Fruehaufs sister company, Mx Onboard, will be showing its 'no frills' onboard weigher, the Mx system, which features a remote display and is now available for rigid tippers too. It can be used in conjunction with other manufacturers' cab displays.

Grab loaders

HMF UK is launching the next generation of grab loaders, the 1244. HMF meets the same B4 standard as the established 1144 and is said to last three times longer. The 1244 features double extension to give an 8.1m reach.

RoadTech Computer Systems will be demonstrating its new tachograph software,Tachomaster, which is said to analyse digital cards and analogue charts in minutes. Tachomaster automatically alerts operators to any infringements and offers a wide choice of reports.

Chemtec will be at Tip-Ex with its latest fore court range of Karcher steam cleaners and vacuums, RBS brush washers and parts washers. Its Ice Blaster, with 1,000 and 10,0001it/hr water recycling units, will be shown at work, as will its steam cleaners, sweepers and vacuums.

The Hyva stand will showcase the FC149 AT cylinder with new fitting arrangements, which boasts a lower weight and a shorter tipping cycle. Also displayed will be the HyvaLift hook-loader and skip-loader models — the N02012 Telescopic Arm skip-loader features the new Hyva sheeting system.

PM Onboard will display its new PM1155 indicator, which fits into the DIN radio slot. Standard features include axle weights, payload, gross weight readings and the Tip Watch tipper-stability program.

STAS, the tipper and moving-floor trailer manufacturer, will he talking to operators about the launch of its dealer network that came on line in January 2007.The network comprises Steadplan in Clitheroe,Lanes;Thompson'sTrailerTechnologies in Croydon, Surrey; Kelly Holdings in Malmesbury,Wi I ts; andTCTrailers in Dublin.

Vehicle Weighing Solutions, part of the Applied Weighing Group, will launch a number of products. including the Lungburg load-cell connection system, which is said to halve the installation time.

Wheelsure will be demonstrating its awardwinning nut locking device, which is designed to stop nuts being loosened by vibration, It comprises a modified bolt with reverse thread and a patented counter-threaded locking cap that fits over the original nut. At the first sign of any movement the locking cap automatically tight ens against the nut,maintaining stud tension and wheel security.

Wire3 says its range can increase operators' efficiency. It includes fixed-cost vehicle tracking via GPS/GPRS; PDA job allocation systems; and sat-nay. Its Sat3 vehicle tracking system offers real-time information in the form of live on-screen mapping, or as part of Wire3's reporting screen

Axle reservoir

DaimlerChrysler Trailer Axle Systems will be showing what is said lobe the world's first trailer axle that stores air for the brake systems and air suspension in the axle housing. Doing away with the air reservoir on its nine-tonne axle saves space and cuts the trailer's weight by up to 40kg.

Debutants at Ti p-Ex07 will include health and safety consultant MMP Business Solutions, bui there will also be plenty of displays by familial names, including Hino,Edbro,Weightlifter,Wilcox, Barry Napper, Arvin Mentor, Alibulk Knorr Bremse, Kraker, United Trailers, Woodland Weighing Systems, Setco Automotive Aspock, Brit-Tipp. Abba Commercial, LDV Mitsubishi, Millers Oils, DEL Engineering Binotto and Aliweld. Chassis manufacturers such as Daf,Volvo and MAN-ERF will be represented by their local distributors.
