RPL Transport, based at Milton Keynes, has taken delivery of 10 new tractive units from Renault VI—two 6x2 440hp Magnums with mid-lift axles and eight 6x2 400hp Premiums. The trucks will work internationally and have been supplied on contract hire through Renault Truck Contracts.

Hubbard Transport Refrigeration has launched an electrically driven fridge system that operates from a three-phase alternator fitted to the vehicle's engine. The Europe system provides cooling from 11kW at 0" to 5.5kW at -20° and is capable of chilling down to -28".

Scanfreight now has 20 Mega Tallboy 44ft curtainsider trailers from TIP Europe on a five-year contract. The trailers have the EBS braking system and are fitted with WABCO designed ECAS, which electronically controls the trailer's suspension.

Basildon District Council has bought six Daf refuse vehicles fitted with Eminox Continuously Regenerating Trap (CRT) exhaust systems. The five 8x4 250hp FAT 75CFs and a 240hp FA 75 65 with a lift axle all feature Euro-2 engines.
