LAND/RANGE ROVERS • The 1986 Land Rover Directory, compiled by Peter and Veronica Hobson, contains just about all you will ever need to know as an owner of either a Land Rover or Range Rover. The 450-page paperback guide extensively lists all major UK Land Rover/Range Rover dealers and parts specialists, as well as equipment suppliers, vehicle convertors and even export distributors. Each entry contains a full address and phone number.
For anybody rebuilding a Land Rover it also lists used and "other" spares suppliers (not approved by Land Rover) along with technical specifications on Land Rover models right back to 1948, with full details on model chassis numbers.
Among the listings are some interesting features on Land Rover owners' clubs, LPG conversions, tyres, batterycare and a round-up of the latest Range Rover Vogue models, There is also a particularly good guide on what to look out for when buying a second-hand model.
