Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The management of West Country general and refrigerated haulage company Langdon Industries has bought the company from Tozer, Kemsley and Millbourn (Holdings).

Michael Donoghue continues to head the company as managing director. With him on the board of the new company are three executive directors, Paul Rowe, Robert Swindells and Robert Holder.

Rowe, former financial controller of the company, now has responsibility for day-today accounts and administration. Swindells, who was operations manager, is now operations director.

Holder, an accountant, is the only newcomer on the board. He joins in a part-time capacity as financial director.

The new board presides over a company based in Taunton and with an additional operating centre in Bristol. Its fleet comprises 45 tractive units, 77 trailers and 11 distribution vehicles based at Taunton. At Bristol the company has two cold stores with bulk storage facilities and specialised order picking for distribution customers, as well as an ambient warehouse geared mainly to the requirements of the paper trade.
