IVECO (UK) Lt is still to establish a central parts facility in Warrington, but it will not open until 1982.
Following union claims (CM, April 19) that the company will not move its Winsford parts centre to Warrington, IVECO said this week that it has leased premises on a 6.5-acre site close to the Magirus Deutz premises at Winsford.
The Fiat Commercial Vehicles Ltd offices at Acton, West London, and the spare parts facility in Warrington will close by September this year.
Already, several members of staff at both locations have applied for jobs at Winsford.
