the acquisition by U.S. Ford of the American Autolite concern, Ford of Dagenham is to make Autolite sparking plugs for initial equipment. They will be made by the Ford subsidiary operating at the Ponders End, Middx, factory bought from Simms Motor Units recently. Annual output will be in the region of 2 in. and Ford is not to enter the U.K. retail market at present.
