Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As such. the demolition division, headed by Wooldridge director Nick Anderson, has access to a 25-strong fleet of eightwheelers within the group, which can be called upon to move materials to and from sites. "We probably get 40% utilisation from the tippers on our own work," says Anderson. The rest of the time, the trucks are out servicing the needs of other areas of the group. But they remain a big part of our earning potential."

Anderson acknowledges that he couldn't run the demolition business without access to trucks, but he doesn't always have enough work to keep them all busy. "We get to sort and process a lot of rubble and similar materials at the point of demolition, which often means we can keep secondary aggregates on site-so our material haulage requirements vary on a daily basis." he adds. While the tippers get extra utilisation on muckaway duties in addition to hauling crushed concrete products, Wooldridge's two roll-on roll-off-equipped eight-wheelers are better suited to supporting the demolition projects.

"We use 40yd3 bins that can be dropped off at site and filled as sorting work progresses," Anderson says. "And with 55 bins available, truck waiting times are kept to a minimum."
