Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

II Eurotunnel freight services were delayed by up to four hours last 1Yednesday (17 October) after a Euroqar train broke down 15 miles into the Channel Tunnel.

Long delays were also reported on ihe M20 in Kent as traffic waiting for the tunnel backed up, shutting the motorway between Junctions 11 and 12.

More than 200 passengers were evacuated into the service tunnel; from there they were transferred to another train to Brussels.

A spokesman for Eurotonnel apologised for the disruption but said the situation was out of its hands. He added: "Wednesday is a busy day for freight so some operators were a bit upset—but the situation was beyond our control."
