' This exhibition unit, built by Coventry Steel •Caravans, Ltd., Newport Pagnell, consists of a Bedford 10-ton prime mover and a Taskers lowloading 6-ton semi-trailer chassis, similar to the 60-ft. " Queen Mary." Apart from the advantage of demonstrating equipment on the spot, this combination was chosen as being the safest method of transport for the delicate instruments to be carried.

The unit leaves for the Continent on Monday and will be at Interkama, Dusseldorf, from November 2-10, to provide demonstration facilities to supplement those on the Sunvic stand. Afterwards the unit will go on a demonstration tour of Belgium and Holland.

The overall length of the unit is 35 ft., with accommodation for approximately 20 people. At one end of the body a flight of stairs leads to the private office above the coupling.

A soundproofed screen divides the office from the display room. Films are projected on to a roller screen.

The body of the semi-trailer is constructed from interlocking extruded aluminium panels fixed vertically, each panel being 3 in. wide and having an inner and outer wall with a connecting web. • £40,000 SAVED

CO-ORDINATION of operations has 1--"saved the Scottish ambulance service £40,000 in a year. There are central control points covering the whole of the country, and to each station a number of depots is linked. Upon reaching their destinations, ambulances report back for further direction.
