• Euro Wise Truck is about to take delivery of the first used Scania P113-320 day-cab tractor unit it has had converted into a mixer chassis.
The Aylesham, Kent-based independent dealer expects to sell 50 or 6o over the next six to eight months. "We've been marketing them for the past seven weeks, and we've had 150 inquiries," says Peter Hassan, who runs the company.
With a Hymix mixer unit, a 3.5m3 capacity barrel, a Knowles power take-off, an Eminox exhaust, painted in the customer's livery, and with a rz-month warranty. the vehicles cost f3o,00o apiece.
None of the chassis could be classed as high mileage, says Hassan. 'And remember that operators of this type of mixer work within a 15-mile radius of home base, so they never drive that far," he says.
