Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Demand for late-registered, low-mileage vans is booming if a recent sale held at Manheim's Leeds centre is anything to go by. Two hundred light commercials were entered, with prices averaging 103.5% of CAP Red Book's price for "clean" examples.

The vehicles were from manufacturers including Ford. Vauxhall, Peugeot, Daihatsu, Fiat, Mercedes. Renault, and Seat. A 1998 S-registered Ford Courier 50 1.80 with 8.000 miles went for 15,225-112% of GAP clean—while a Vauxhall Corsavan 1.70 Merit (1999 on a T plate, showing 6,000 miles) went for 14,750. That's 104% of CAP clean.

Leeds was the pilot for a new series of hi-monthly multimanufacturer closed van sales to be held there. They're aimed at selected Manheim-approved commercial buyers and multifranchise dealers. "Growing confidence in the economy is encouraging small businesses to buy more vans," says group commercial manager, LCV. Alex Wright.
