Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

WELL known as an operator of VV A.E.C. vehicles in the north of Lincolnshire, Enterprise and Silver Dawn Motors, Ltd., has purchased some 50 single-deckers of this make in the past nine years. Providing essential services for a semi-industrial community, the company has registered a steady growth in the past decade. In addition to it original garage and bus station at Scunthorpe it now has two other garages holding 12 and 32 vehicles respectively.

Some of the company's growth has resulted from the acquirement of other undertakings. The "Immingham Queen " service (including a number of A.E.C.$) and Jarvill and Vessey's " Lily " service were taken over in 1937 and the Humber Road Car Services in 1938.

The A.E.C.s at present in service are all Regal 32-seaters and 35-seaters, designed on coach principles, and certain of them are powered by oil engines. It is good testimony to the timekeeping qualities and general reliability of these vehicles that they have, been continuously employed on the services running between Scunthorpe and New Holland, where close connections are made with the ferry steamers plying across the Humber to Hull. Prior to the outbreak of war, Enterprise and Enver Dawn Motors, Ltd., was operating 105 vehicles seating from 25 to 35 persons, but six of these have now been taken over for ambulance duties and a further 22 are unlicensed, due to war-time curtailment of services. Latterly, however, as the result of increases in fuel rations, it has been possible to strengthen certain services reduced at the outbreak of hostilities.

Premier Motor Services (Scunthorpe), Ltd., which operates eight vehicles in the Scunthorpe, Goole and Thorne districts, is also managed by this company.
