• Renault has developed art 11-litre common-rail diesel, rated at 420hp and launched in the Premium 420 dCi, a threeaxle tractor intended for 44-tonne operations.
The del 11 engine uses Mack's V-Mac III electronic control; it will initially be in Euro-2 form, and eligible for the RPC discount. Renault claims a 4-7% improvement in fuel consumption over the current Premium 420.
