Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

OPERATORS should be permitted to perform or organise their own minor repairs at motorway service areas, the Road Haulage Association has stated.

An RHA spokesman said that it is wrong that there is no choice for operators who break down with minor problems.

The RHA has been trying to arrange a meeting with the Motorway Service Area Operators' Committee to discuss the matter, but there has been no response. The RHA says that it is a "gross discourtesy'' that the MSAOC has not replied.

Now it is going to raise the issue with Department of Transport.

A spokesman for Trust House Forte told CM that there could he a problem of the motorway service areas being turned into maintenance areas. "They are not repair bays, although we would not turn anyone away who was in trouble," he said.
