THE SCHEDULE') price of commercial ,bulk dery has remained static since the end of April, according to the main oil companies.
All the major companies — except Texaco which said that it last reduced bulk diesel at the end of March by 2.27p per gallon, and BP which brought down a gallon of bulk by 3.2p on April 18 — reduced their prices last at the end of April. Shell, Esso and Mobil all dropped their prices by just under a penny a gallon on April 20.
The companies do not expect to see any further changes in the immediate future, and attribute the price changes to the strength of Sterling against the dollar.
However, one company spokesman said that recently hauliers have benefited from "considerable" rebate increases, although he could noi give further details.
