THE WELSH OFFICE has awarded contracts for nearly :23m worth of improvements to the country's trunk road network.
It is spending £14.3in on a one-mire dual carriageway by-pass on the A48 at Cross Hands/Llanddarog in West Wales.
The project is expected to be completed in two-and-aquarter years.
And i.8.6rn is being spenon an 11.5-mile section of th( M4 in Gwent between Juno tions 22 and 24. The project which will take around si) months to complete, involve: resurfacing and strengthenin[ of the carriageways to cafe for the expected traffic flow over the next 20 years.
