Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

From Patay comes a reciprocating air-motor to operate its SD45 and 8E45 range of diaphragm pumps.

The unit, it is claimed, can be easily fitted to the pumps and reduces fire risk associated with other types of motor. The pump cannot burn out, says the company, and can be totally submerged for short periods of time.

The air-motor is made from stainless steel, brass and aluminium, has an on /off switch and speed regulator to give pump speeds up to 90 strokes per min and outputs up to 9gal per min. Free air consumption is 4 cu ft per min at 80 psi and maximum recommended lift and delivery head are both 15ft (combined suction and delivery 25ft). The motor weighs 151b and should be connected to the air main with 0.312in. OD tubing; lubrication and water separation equipment should be incorporated in the system.

Made by: Patay Pumps Ltd, The Ridgeway, Iver, Buckinghamshire.
