• Three, mobile weighbridges have been purchased by the Environment Department, said Mr John Peyton in the Commons last week.
They were pilot production models which had already demonstrated an accuracy of plus or minus 281b in 16 tons.
A revised specification which should meet the approval of weights and measures inspectors would be issued in June, went on Mr Peyton. Existing machines would be converted to the new specification.
