TRANSFERS and direct purchases of ex-British Road Services' vehicles are reported from eight areas this week.

SCOTLAND Mr. Thomas B. Band, Perth, has transferred five lorries (15 tons) to T. B. Band (Perth), Ltd., of the same address. Smith and Saunders, Ltd., Balenio, have taken over two lorries (91 tons) from Central Garage (Bathgate), Ltd., Bathgate.

Other transfers are: three vehicles (3 tons) to McCann and Mackay, Ltd., Glasgow, by Messrs. Gilloughley Motors, Johnstone;

one (31tons) to Wilde and Bennett, Ltd., Hadfield, Manchester, by Mr. Ernest Sanderson, Bearsden; one (I ton) to T. Jupiter Transport Co., Ltd., Glasgow, have acquired five lorries, three (15 tons) from Jupiter Transport Co., Glasgow, one (41 tons) from Mr. David O'Hara, Glasgow, and one (51 tons) from James Rice and Co., Ltd.

Central Garage (Bathgate), Ltd., have

transferred an articulated outfit (21 tons) to Sutherlands of Peterhead (Road Hauliers), Ltd. Peterhead, and two lorries (II tons) to Mi.. James Cosgrove, Dundee. Mr. Cosgrove has also taken over a lorry (5 tons) from Dundee Victoria Hiring Co., Ltd., atindee, who, in turn, have purchased two lorries (9f tons) from Mr. Pat Regan, Horsmonden, Kent.

Mr. Regan has also made over five lorries (24 tons) to D. CaBander (Forfar), Ltd., Forfar, and three (10 tons) to Gateside Garage and Engineering Co., Ltd., Dundee.

One (31 tons) of two lorries weighing a total of 81 tons unladen has been made over to Messrs. William Rose and Sons, Contin, Strathpeffer, by Pentland Garage, Ltd, Loanhead.

Mr. David H. Duncan, Alyth. has acquired two lorries (11* tons); Messrs. Ross's Transport Services, Aberdeen. one (3 tons); Messrs, Alex. Mitchell and Sons, Atness, one (51 tons); and Muir's Transport. Ltd.. Cupar, one (11 Ions).
