Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Addressing the market in the UK, GreenChem MD Haynes says it is "pricecompetitive" no surprise there -with volume having the biggest impact.

The extremes run from cans bought at the forecourt, which will set you back as much as eV 0/litre, down to a 25,000-litre tanker load at around 22p/litre.

Availability, which was once seen an issue, is no longer a problem according to either of the two main suppliers. For example, GreenChem has five UK production sites and 36 retail outlets.

The IBC is still the biggest storage medium, but there is a definite trend for operators to move to bulk storage, and there are many that are going straight to bulk tanks as they take on SCR fleet replacement.

An increase in volumes brings other advantages with it. At Airl Yara, Norman explains: "Along with the growth in the market for AdBlue, the costs for bulk tank; has probably dropped by 20% over the past couple of years."

His advice is to check the prices if you were put off the last time you looked into it.

He adds: "There are also more lower-cost options around, but the market now understands you can't just press an old diesel tank into service, and that AdBlue demands specific and specialist storage equipment."
