Starts with a call at 01:40hrs—a driver is struck down with food poisoning. Manage to cover job and meet 07:00hrs delivery. Go to office to go through mail and tidy desk before going to a networking event held at the Cellnet Riverside football stadium by the Chamber of Commerce. The event is to bring local companies together to generate new business and contacts, Come away with some positive leads. Back to office to meet with operations manager from Darlington Commercials again about Shell oil currently on trial in Link 1. Need to arrange a date for the vehicle to go in and have its engine stripped and rebuilt with new parts. Oil sample and engine parts are taken by Shell for analysis. Once the trial is complete and lit the engine rebuilt, the vehicle can be changed over to fully synthetic oil to come into line with the rest of the fleet.
